Transcription services can be used in any industry, but are most commonly associated with the medical, legal, media and the public sector.
Our transcription requests are varied. We have partnered with Human Resources during HR tribunals but have also transcribed films, books, biographies, reports and business meetings.

If you are Windows based we recommend Audacity and Wavepad as digital audio platforms (2 of the most common recording tools). For Mac users, Ocenaudio has had good feedback from clients.
If it's a short recording, you could use What's App and send it directly to your transcription assistant.
To keep costs down, make sure there is a clear structure to your recordings - keep the pauses and silences down to a minimum and speak as clearly as possible.
